Wabash County’s 2019 Operation Share program was another big success according to organizers. WADI’s Debbie Meyer says 319 local households received Thanksgiving dinner, 383 households picked up Christmas dinner, while 350 children received toys at Christmas. In addition to WADI, the Wabash County Ministerial Association sponsor Operation Share and its’ president Rev. Kevin McGinnis helps to organize the local bell ringing campaign. According to McGinnis, bell ringers collected just over $6,100 while another $15,000 in donations came from churches, organizations, and fundraisers for a total of $21,453. Meyer said the Operation Share program is an expensive one….
McGinnis pointed out that all of the money collected by bell ringers stays in Wabash County for Operation Share with none of the money.
