Two Mt. Carmel men were charged with battery after police were called to the 800 block of Poplar Street in Mt. Carmel. Police reported that Jeffrey W. Stanley, age 60, and Larry Dean Parker, age 58, were fighting across from the Eagles Club. Police charged both subjects and they were later released. Mt. Carmel Police were assisted by the Wabash County Sheriff's Office and Wabash General Hospital Ambulance Service.
