Mt. Carmel Public Utility Co. has announced that due to the forecasted Wabash River flooding, electric services will be disconnected beginning today as needed at river camps in Mt. Carmel, Dunkel River Camps, Pulleyville, Patton, and other locations along the Wabash. Homes and businesses that may be impacted may also be subject to disconnection. These customers should make immediate preparations for preservation and protection of their camps and property. MCPU will be monitoring the flood levels daily and will attempt to disconnect power to affected areas prior to being impacted by flood waters. For questions regarding if service has or will be disconnected, call 618-262-5151 and ask for the Service Department. The number one concern is public safety. MCPU will restore power to these areas as soon as flood waters subside and re-connection is safe.
