County's Roads Budget Gets A Boost From The State

Thanks to an increase in Motor Fuel Tax funding in this year’s state budget, Wabash County will have a lot more money to work with for road programs. Treasurer Beverly McBride detailed just how much more in her report to the Wabash County Board of Commissioners on Monday. The county M-F-T fund will be $12,209 with an additional $9,913 for this year. The road district’s budget of $25,030 will be boosted by $20,323 this year. Commissioners weren’t sure if the add-on amounts would become permanent. But Commissioner Tim Hocking said the additional money is “very greatly appreciated”
