On 7/30/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Dominic E. Benjamin, age 18, of Mt. Carmel, for Domestic Battery following an incident at a residence located in the 100 block of W 4th Street. Officers were called to this residence in regards to a domestic dispute involving Benjamin. When they arrived they found that that the other involved party, Dexter O. Willits, age 18, of Mt. Carmel, was also wanted on warrants from Wabash and Edwards County as well. Evidence indicating a battery was observed so Benjamin was placed under arrest. Willits was also placed under arrest for his warrants. Both were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were charged and held pending the posting of bond.
