08/20/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 55 year old John W. Clancy of Mt. Carmel after police were called to 8th Street Liquors reference a shoplifter. When police arrived on scene they were advised that Clancy took a pack of cigarettes without paying for them. Clancy was located a few blocks away and placed under arrest. Clancy was held on one count of retail theft and was released after posting bond.
