Mt. Carmel Police arrested 60 year old James H. Catt of Mt. Carmel after he failed to register as a sex offender. Catt is required to register every year and was found to be outside of that time period. At the time of his arrest Catt was found to be in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. Catt was transported to the Wabash County Jail and charged with failure to register as a sex offender and possession of a controlled substance. Catt is being held pending the setting of bond.
