The Wabash General Hospital Board of Directors has entered into two contracts to make sure scopes used for various surgical procedures are kept in good working order. WGH Executive Vice President of Clinical Services Kim Pearson told board members this week that the first contract was for $25,000 and covered two years for scopes used in joint surgeries. The second contract is also for two years and came in at $28,000 a year and covered colonoscopy scopes. Pearson said the hospital was spending more in repairs to the equipment and the new service contracts will cover all repairs and even provide replacements when the scopes are being serviced.
