Disturbance call leads to the arrest of Princeton man

On July 17, 2019, at 1:54 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a disturbance in the 1600 block of South Old State Road 65 in the rural Princeton area. Upon arriving Deputy U.B. Smith began an investigation into the 911 call. During that time with the assistance of Deputy Tim Speedy, Deputy Smith spoke with all the parties involved in the disturbance. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Smith placed 22 year old Jeffrey Robbins of Princeton into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Robbins was charged with Battery in the presence of a child and strangulation. He remains in custody on a $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
