KNOX COUNTY – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a pipe replacement project for State Road 67 just south of Edwardsport.
Beginning on or around Monday, July 22, INDOT Maintenance Crews will begin working to excavate and replace a drainage culvert on S.R. 67 just north of the junction of S.R. 358. Work on this roadway is expected to last about a week depending upon weather conditions. Poor weather could cause delays and extend the time frame.
During the operations, S.R. 67 will be completely closed. Local traffic will have access up to the point of closure, but hrough traffic will need to use the official detour using S.R. 159, and S.R. 58. Crews will open the road during following the operation, though traffic will need to be aware that the pipe replacement sites will not be paved until later. Fill material will compacted under normal traffic conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
