25 year old Brandon Reed of Mt. Carmel has been sentenced to 6 years in prison on a Class X Felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance. State’s Attorney Cassandra Goldman said Reed was charged in connection to an August 2018 incident in which Reeds delivered between 100 and 400 grams of a substance containing hydrocodone to a Mt. Carmel Police Department confidential source. Following Reed’s term in the Department of Corrections, he’ll be on three years of parole.
