Crews are continuing to work on the new stop light islands in Mt. Carmel. The new islands replace the flashing stop lights along Market Street and are meant to be more visible to motorists as well as more attractive.
Mayor Joe Judge said the Mt. Carmel Garden Club has agreed to place flower pots at the islands and care for the plants there.
