From Monday’s Wabash County Commissioners meeting:
A resolution establishing a net set of civil fees, criminal, and traffic assessments to be charged by the Circuit Clerk was unanimously approved at Monday’s County Board meeting. The board also confirmed the understanding of services with Watler Accounting for the next audit. And commissioners also OK’d giving Ag Days three-thousand dollars from the Hotel-Motel tax fund to help them promote the four-day summer festival which begins July 31st on Market Street.

Fines and fees collected by Circuit Clerk Angie Crum’s office in May totaled almost 30-thousand dollars. Crum reported that number at this week’s County Board meeting.
State’s Attorney Cassandra Goldman issued her monthly activity report for May. There were five misdemeanor cases filed, along with five felonies, two for D-U-I, plus 89 traffic cases. Over eight-thousand dollars in fines was collected, and 33-hundred dollars in restitution made during the month, according to Goldman.
