Mayor Signs Amateur Radio Week Proclamation

Joe Judge, Mayor of Mount Carmel, signed a proclamation recognizing and designating June 16-23, 2019 as Amateur Radio Week in the City of Mount Carmel.

 The Amateur Radio Field Day exercise will take place in Mount Carmel on June 22-23, between the Mount Carmel High School football field and the Wabash River. It will also include Wabash Ready Day on June 23 at that location. The public is welcomed to attend. Local and regional emergency response agencies will have equipment displays and information booths. There will be activities for children.

 Amateur radio operators are a valuable assets to Wabash County’s emergency response organization and devote countless hours of service under the auspices of the Wabash County Emergency Management Agency.
