WHERE: Dieterich Blacktop near Athens Rd, 9 miles north of Sailor Springs in Clay County
WHEN: 05/23/2019, 11:00 p.m.
VEHICLES: UNIT 1 - Grey Toyota Corolla
DRIVER: UNIT 1 - Andres Andino, 44 Year Old of Effingham IL
PASSENGERS: Unit 1 – Monika Montes, 25 Year Old of Effingham IL
CHARGES: UNIT 1 – Driver was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol
TRANSPORTS: UNIT 1 – Unit 1 Passenger was transported by Air Evac Helicopter to Carle Hospital for treatment.
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 was traveling Dieterich Blacktop northbound 9 miles north of Sailor Springs. Unit 1 swerved right onto the gravel shoulder then proceeded to over correct. Unit 1 lost control and crossed both the northbound and southbound lanes leaving the roadway left. Unit 1 impacted the grassy ditch where it rolled twice before coming to a rest on its top.
