Potholes and Grass Issues Addressed By City Council & County Board

Potholes were topics of discussion at both the Mt. Carmel City Council and Wabash County Commissioners meetings. First, county highway engineer Dustin Bunting told the county board that given the type of winter we experienced, potholes were not as big a problem that he anticipated this Spring.

At the city council meeting, street commissioner Tom Meeks said if you see a pothole that needs attention within city limits, you should call city hall….

On another topic that comes up annually, Meeks addressed the problem of people blowing their lawn clippings into the street…

Meeks said city crews have also been busy mowing yards that violate the city’s ordnance for tall grass.
