Negotiations are expected to begin in the coming weeks on a new contract for Wabash District #348 teachers. The current two-year contract between the district and the Wabash County Teachers Association expires on June 30th meaning there’s no contract in place for the new school year that begins in August. At last week’s meeting, school board members appointed three members to the board’s negotiating team. Those three are board president Tim Schuler, Ryan Peter, and Jared Alka. The district’s separate contract with the Wabash County Education Association expires at the end of the next school year.
