ASHTEN BROCK RECEIVES WVC FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Mt. Carmel, IL –  Ashten Brock is the recipient of the Wabash Valley College Foundation Scholarship for the 2018-19 academic year.

Ashten is a 2018 graduate of Edwards County High School and is the daughter of Hillari and John Brock of Albion.  High school activities included:  Cheerleading, National Honor Society President, Educators Rising President, Spanish Club, Illinois State Scholar Award, and Senior Class Vice-President.  After Ashten graduates from WVC, she plans to transfer to the University of Southern Indiana, and her future career goal is to be an Accountant.

The WVC Foundation Scholarship recognizes outstanding academic achievement and leadership in high school and is awarded to students who demonstrate a potential to excel in their area of study.  It has been established by the Wabash Valley College Foundation to assist students pursuing an Associate Degree at Wabash Valley College.  This one-year award will help offset the cost of tuition for Fall and Spring semesters for one year as long as the student remains enrolled full time.  Total value of this award is $2400 ($1200 per semester).
