The Wabash District 348 School Board approved requesting bids for work on the exterior wall of the high school main gym that overlooks Pear Street. The wall which sits at the back of the visitors sitting area is becoming structurally unsound. The proposal calls for the brick wall to be taken completely down this summer and replaced with a steel based structure. The project is estimated to cost around $150,000 which will be paid for from the district's 1% sales tax funds.
