The Wabash District #348 school board is considering a request to change the policy that currently prohibits students who are home-schooled from participating in extra-curricular activities in the district. Parent Todd Gill spoke to the school board at length at Monday night’s meeting saying there are no state statutes or IHSA regulations that prevent home-schooled students from playing sports. At the end of Gill’s 20 minute monologue, school board president Tim Schuler said no decision would be made at that time and the issue would be taken under advisement.
