On 11/20/19 Mt. Carmel Police arrested Brianna J. Meyer, age 22, of Fort Branch, IN, for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Joe Ray Garrett III, age 19, of Princeton, IN, for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East 9th Street. During the stop K-9 Officer Daniel Hopper and his K-9 Ace were called to the scene. Ofc. Hopper conducted a free air narcotics sniff around the vehicle which resulted in Ace alerting to the odor of illegal narcotics. A search was conducted on the vehicle which led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine, psilocybin (mushrooms), and scales. Also in the vehicle was a 16 year male juvenile from Princeton, IN. Both subjects were transported to the Wabash County Jail where they were given the above charges and held pending the posting of bond. The juvenile was later released to another family member.
