Cassandra A. Goldman, Wabash County State's Attorney, reports that Robert E. Harms, a 37-year old Mt. Carmel, Illinois man, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Circuit Judge Christopher L. Weber in Wabash County Circuit Court.
State's Attorney Goldman advises that the Defendant was charged February 4, 2019 with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 Felony. On April 22, 2019, Mr. Harms was placed on Probation for 2 years. After admitting to a violation of his probation on October 1, 2019, Mr. Harms was sentenced to 8 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections, to be followed by one year of mandatory supervised release (parole). On July 22, 2019, the Defendant was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 1 Felony. Mr. Harms was sentenced to 8 years in the Department of Corrections, to be followed by 2 years of mandatory supervised release (parole). On July 30, 2019, the Defendant was charged with Methamphetamine Delivery, a Class 2 Felony. Mr. Harms was sentenced to 8 years in the Department of Corrections, to be followed by 2 years of mandatory supervised release (parole). These sentences are to be served concurrent.

That on the 2nd day of February, 2019, in Wabash County, Illinois the Defendant, ROBERT E. HARMS, committed the offense of POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE, in that said Defendant knowingly and unlawfully had in his possession less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine, other than as authorized in the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act, in violation of 720 ILCS 646/60(a). A CLASS 3 FELONY
2019-CF-75 Ct. I:
That on the 18th day of July, 2018, in Wabash County, Illinois the Defendant, ROBERT E. HARMS, committed the offense of POSSESSION METHAMPHETAMINE, in that said Defendant knowingly and unlawfully had in his possession 15 or more grams, but less than 100 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine, other than as authorized in the Methamphetamine Control and Community Protection Act, in violation of 720 ILCS 646/60(a). That on the 5th day of June, 2019, in Wabash County, Illinois, the Defendant, ROBERT E. HARMS, committed the offense of METHAMPHETAMINE DELIVERY, in that said Defendant knowingly and unlawfully delivered less than five (5) grams of a substance containing methamphetamine to a Wabash County Sheriff's Department confidential source, in violation of 720 ILCS 646/55(a)(1). A CLASS 2 FELONY
