Evansville man arrested for driving on a suspended license

On September 1, 2018, at 12:41 a.m. Gibson County Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2003 Saturn VUE for failing to dim their headlights to oncoming traffic on US 41 near County Road 350 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith identified the driver as 27 year old Cameron Martin of Evansville, Indiana. During a roadside investigation Deputy Smith ran Mr. Martin through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Martin had a suspended license on a prior conviction. At that point Deputy Smith placed Mr. Martin into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Martin was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. He has since posted a $650 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
