SR 168 is Currently Closed due to a Crash, One Driver Arrested for DUI

Gibson: This morning at approximately 9:38, Indiana State Police and Gibson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a two vehicle crash that currently has SR 168 closed at CR 350 East.

Preliminary investigation revealed Trevor D. Allerellie, 24, of Princeton, was driving his 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on CR 350 South when he failed to stop at SR 168 and pulled into the path of a 2017 Volvo tractor-trailer. After impact, the pickup truck left the roadway and came to a final rest northwest of the intersection. The tractor-trailer left the roadway on the south side and overturned. The trailer blocked both lanes of SR 168.  The driver of the tractor-trailer was identified as James Isaac, 43, of Boonville. Isaac was transported to St. Vincent Hospital for minor injuries.

Further investigation determined Allerellie was under the influence of marijuana, oxycodone and opiates. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and taken to the Gibson County Jail where he is currently being held on bond.

Current Traffic Pattern: SR 168 westbound is being diverted north onto CR 350 East. Eastbound traffic on SR 168 is closed at US 41. Tow truck operators believe SR 168 will be closed for several hours.

Investigating Officer: Trooper William Campbell, Indiana State Police
