Wabash County State’s Attorney Cassandra Goldman today filed a Class X felony charge against 18-year-old Jacob Molstad in connection to an incident last week. Molstad has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance while on school property.
It’s alleged that Molstad delivered a substance containing Xanax to a 16-year-old boy on the Mt. Carmel High School parking lot.
A Class X felony is the most serious felony offense in Illinois and carries a mandatory prison sentence of 6 to 30 years and probation is not an option.
Molstad is due in court for his initial appearance on March 19th and he is being represented by attorney Stephen G. Sawyer. After being arrested Friday night, Molstad is free on a $10,000 cash bond and a condition of that bond is that he not be on any District #348, junior college, or elementary school property.
