Higher speed internet is coming to Wabash District 348 schools. At their monthly meeting last night, the school board approved a recommendation from district technology director Kevin Smith to go with a 5 year contract with Clearwave Communications. Smith said the new fiber optic service will triple the current speeds at the high school while other schools will experience similar improvements. While the cost of the service wasn’t revealed last night, board member Kyle Peach indicated the cost would be less than what the district is currently paying with New Wave Communications.
