Indiana Won't Change Time Zones

You don't need to worry about Indiana changing time zones -- at least, not this year.

If you're in the Eastern Time Zone, you'll stay there -- for now, anyway. State lawmakers aren't going to take up the issue this year.

But life on Central Time wouldn't be THAT unusual for Hoosiers -- Indiana was on Central Time until 1965, and 12 counties remain in the Central Time Zone today.

Columbus Senator Greg Walker, who wrote the bill, says he will re-introduce it if he gets the chance. His bill was defeated this week before it could even get a vote on the Senate floor.
