Mt. Carmel officials continue to work on finding a suitable location for a new water plant. Water Commissioner Justin Dulgar reported at Monday’s city council meeting that three potential sites have been identified and an announcement on the selected location may be made by the end of the year. The city has been working on finding a site for a new water plant after the Wabash Valley Regional Water Commission and plans for a regional facility were abandoned earlier this year.
