It was a good weekend in Mt. Carmel as the Christmas season was officially ushered in, but there was no better feeling than Saturday evening right before the parade started. That’s when Wabash County Sheriff Derek Morgan presented a Hometown Hero medal to 10-year-old Brody Peach….
Brody was the young man who found the missing 2-year girl in October in the Mesa Lake area. Morgan said there were approximately 100 people looking for the little girl and without Brody’s help, it’s hard to say how long the search would have taken and what the shape the girl would have been in.
So how does it feel to be a Hometown Hero?...
Brody was the special guest you may have seen in Morgan’s vehicle during the parade.
