The state is caught up with money it owes Wabash County. Treasurer Beverly McBride reported Monday that Springfield cut two checks this month totaling $39, 969 covering salary reimbursement for October, and that month’s sales tax receipts as well. McBride also told commissioners that 78% of taxes have now been collected, or $8,617,560. That leaves only $2,380,000 left to collect, according to McBride.
