On 1/11/18 Mt. Carmel Police arrested 34 year old Mt. Carmel resident Anthony S. Harms for numerous charges following a complaint about an unwanted person. Police were dispatched to the Mt. Carmel Meadows apartment complex located at 1230 N Walnut Street regarding Anthony Harms being at an apartment. Harms had been barred from the property in the past. Officers arrived to the scene where Harms was located. Harms fled on foot but was eventually apprehended by officers from the Mt. Carmel Police Department and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office. While Harms attempted to get away from law enforcement he damaged a residence in the 1200 block of N Walnut Street. Harms was taken to the Wabash County Jail on two counts of Criminal Damage to Property, Criminal Trespass to State Supported land and Resisting a Peace Officer. Harms is being held on a $500 cash bond.
