Previewing The Holiday Season In Mt. Carmel

It’s a festive holiday weekend ahead in Mount Carmel, with several events bringing Christmas spirit to the community.

Christmas Uptown kicks things off tonight from 4 until 9 p.m. Downtown shoppers and families can enjoy extended store hours, holiday activities, and plenty of seasonal cheer as local businesses open their doors for the annual celebration.

Then tomorrow evening, the Mount Carmel Chamber of Commerce hosts the city’s Christmas Parade, bringing lights, floats, and music to the streets as one of the community’s favorite holiday traditions returns.

The Chamber’s Lesley Hipsher was our guest on today’s Morning Show to talk about everything going on during the holidays in Wabash County.

Also tomorrow and Sunday, the Mount Carmel High School music department presents its 2025 Christmas Madrigal Dinner. This year’s theme, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” invites guests to a Renaissance-style celebration featuring a full meal, beautiful music, festive costumes, and an evening of joyful holiday cheer for all ages. Sunday’s dinner is completely sold out, but tickets remain available online for Saturday’s performance.

A full weekend of lights, music, and Christmas magic awaits in Mount Carmel.
