Aces Runners Set Season Bests At Robinson
The MCHS Cross Country Aces participated in the 25 team Robinson Invitational on Thursday. Being short handed because of injuries, the Aces failed to register team scores in both races.
In the boys race Jason Miller and Anthony Bleyer both medaled for the third straight meet. Miller finished 26th (18:09) and Bleyer 31st (18:30). Also competing was Eric Leffler 67th (20:04) and Caleb Carwile 77th (20:34).
In the girls race Lily Keepes led the Lady Aces with a 53rd (22:33) place finish. Also competing for the Lady Aces was Hallie Courter 72nd (24:32) and Molly Haggerty 94th (26:43).
All seven Aces runners registered season best times. The Aces next meet will be at home against Fairfield on Thursday, October 7th starting at 4:15. The Aces will honor their two seniors, Eric Leffler and Caleb Woollard, before the meet.
The Amazing Lady Aces Crush Field In Regional, Win By 82 Shots!!
The Lady Aces absolutely dominated today at at the IHSA Class 1A Regional held in Mt. Vernon.
Lilly Gottman was medalist with even par. The Lady Aces snagged the top 5 individual medals.
They advance to Monday’s Sectional in Waterloo.

The Lady Aces finish their regular season 45-0. Next up for the Lady Aces is the Regional Tournament at Green Hills Country Club, Mt. Vernon IL. The IHSA Regional will be held on Thursday September 30th.
Aces Game Time Moved To 2pm Saturday
Mt. Carmel High School Athletic Announcement: The Varsity Football game against Richland County High School on Saturday, October 2nd will start at 2:00pm. The game was originally scheduled to start at 1:00pm, but will now start at 2:00pm.
Bleyer And Miller Finish In Top 10 At L'ville Cross Country Invite
MCHS Cross Country traveled to Lawrenceville on Saturday for the Lawrenceville Invitational. The Aces placed two runners in the top 10 to earn medalist honors. Anthony Bleyer’s 8th place finish (18:48) and Jason Miller’s 10th place finish (18:52) led the Aces. They were followed by Caleb Carwile 15th (20:11), Eric Leffler 25th (22:27) and Jacob Wall 33rd (2814). Team wise the Aces tied for 2nd with Dietrich with 63 points. Newton was the overall winner with a score of 15.
In the girls race Kali Walker was the top Lady Ace finisher at 13th place with a time of (24:39). She was followed by Hallie Courter 16th (25:45), Lily Keepes 18th (27:40) and Molly Haggerty 20th (29:17).
Of the 9 Aces runners, 5 registered season best times. The Aces next meet is Thursday at the Robinson Invitational.
