Two Women Arrested after Conspiring to Change a Prescription

Dubois County:  An investigation into the forgery of a prescription resulted in the service of arrest warrants on two women Thursday.

On September 29, Master Trooper Brian LaRoche received a complaint of a prescription being altered and passed.  LaRoche learned that 53-year-old Kimberly Feltner of Holland had received a prescription for medication, and had allowed her sister, 59-year-old Pamela Hoffman of Loogootee, to alter the number of pills Feltner was supposed to receive.

LaRoche found that after changing the quantity of the prescription, Feltner passed the prescription, received the additional medication, and split the quantity with Hoffman.

LaRoche received arrest warrants from the Dubois County Superior Court on both Feltner and Hoffman.  Feltner and Hoffman were arrested without incident and lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.

1st Graders Donate To Hope Pregnancy

This year the First Grade Teachers and students collected donations for Hope Pregnancy Center.  They students and their families donated items ranging from diapers and wipes to pacifiers and bottles.  Each classroom was challenged to fill a diaper bag donated by the teachers.  The response was overwhelming and greatly appreciated.  Vicki Winter from Hope Pregnancy Center accepted the donations with all of the first grade students present.  The spirit of giving was alive and well this Christmas season at MCES!

Kindergarteners Collect Items For Nursing Home Residents

The Mt. Carmel Kindergarten classes collected items for the nursing home this year for Christmas instead of exchanging gifts. A very special thank you to all the students and their parents for the donations. The Kindergartners also sung for the residents and made them Christmas cards. It touched the hearts of our Kindergarten teachers to watch the students hand out the cards.

Governor Makes Stop In Mt. Carmel

Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner made a stop in Mt. Carmel over the noon hour today as part of a tour of the southeastern part of the state.

Election Day is less than 11 months away and Rauner emphasized the importance of his bid for re-election…

Dozens of local supporters and elected officials attended Rauner’s remarks today at Hogg Heaven Bar-Be-Que. Media were not allowed to sit in on the Governor’s speech to that group.
