Extra Walmart patrol leads to arrest of two
On July 19, 2020, at 8:55 p.m., Gibson County Sheriff’s Deputy Zach Lienemann while performing extra patrol of the Walmart Supercenter located at 2700 West Broadway in Princeton observed a Green 1997 GMC Sonoma pickup with an open door. At that point Deputy Lienemann ran the plates on the vehicle and it came back to a Silver 2002 Honda Accord. Once the driver returned to the vehicle and pulled away Deputy Lienemann initiated a traffic stop. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann identified the driver as 44-year-old David S. Johnson of Huntingburg. While speaking with the driver Mr. Johnson admitted to Deputy Lienemann that he had a Writ of Attachment issued for his arrest out of Dubois County. Mr. Johnson also admitted that he did not have a valid operator’s license. At that point Deputy Lienemann identified the passenger in the vehicle 41-year-old Jamie Manning of Winslow i to see if she could take possession of the vehicle, but her license was also suspended. During a search of Ms. Manning drug paraphernalia was also found. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Lienemann placed both Mr. Johnson and Ms. Manning into custody and had them transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Mr. Johnson was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior and Ms. Manning was charged with Possession of Paraphernalia. They both remain in custody each with a $650 bond.
