Facade Improvement Program Approved For Another Year In Mt. Carmel
The Mt. Carmel City Council has decided to continue offering an incentive to Market Street businesses to improve the look of their storefronts. Commissioners have voted to extend the façade improvement program where businesses can receive matching funds up to $1,000 for new paint, awnings, and other upgrades. Before the city council took action, city clerk Rudy Witsman said he had been contacted by two businesses interested in taking part in the program. The city is offering up to $10,000 total in this year’s program which will come from TIF funds.
