Eden Wankel and Madi Stevens’ 3rd and 4th place finishes in the high jump led the Lady Aces track team to an 11th place finish in the 16 team Class 2A Sectional at Tolono on Thursday. Wankel’s jump of 1.54 meters qualifies her for next Thursday’s Class 2A State Meet at Charleston. Stevens’ jump of 1.49 meters was a personal best for her.

In addition to the high jump, Wankel medaled in the long jump with a 4th place jump of 4.59 meters and in the triple jump with a 5th place jump of 9.29 meters. Both jumps were personal bests for Wankel.

Although not scoring, several Lady Aces posted personal bests in their events:

Jordis Riley - 400 meters (1:13.58)
Ava Harrington - 200 meters (29.87)
Kali Walker - 300 meter hurdles (55.68)
