Jackets Baseball Falls To New Hope In WEAA Action

On Monday, August 19th, Yellow Jackets Baseball hosted New Hope in WEAA Conference action. The game was called after 3 innings, with New Hope winning 35-0. After the first inning, New Hope led 4-0 and extended their lead to 5-0 after two innings. The third inning has been a struggle early in the season for the Yellow Jackets, as they gave up 30 runs in the inning. Offensively for the Yellow Jackets, Brendan Bowser had a walk and Levi Potts was hit-by-pitch. Brendan Bowser started on the mound and went 2 innings, gave up 6 hits, walked 2, struck out 6, and was charged with 5 runs of which 2 were earned. Chase Gher, Isaiah Courter, and Rhett Andrews all pitched in the 3rd inning with Rhett getting 2 strike outs and an assist on the third out. The Yellow Jackets are now 0-2 overall and in conference play. Next up: Thursday, August 22nd at Clay City for a WEAA Conference game.
