On Thursday, October 11th, the St. Mary’s Lady Rockets hosted the Cisne Lady Bullets. In the 8th grade game, St. Mary’s defeated Cisne, 37 – 5, improving their record to 2 - 1. St. Mary’s led 14 - 2 at the end of the first quarter; 21 - 2 at halftime; and 31 - 3 at the end of the third quarter. Mady Young scored 11 points to lead St. Mary’s. Savannah Zimmerman added 7 points, Lauren Hall 4 points, Lindy Rafferty 4 points, Anna Gill 3 points, Lexi Stevens 2 points, Nora Jones 2 points, Madison Stevens 2 points, and Sarah McCorkle 2 points. Lily Keepes and Kali Walker also saw playing time. Hedrick and Roberts scored 2 points each to lead Cisne in scoring.

St. Mary’s defeated Cisne in the 7th grade game, 26 - 10. The Lady Rockets led 11 - 0 at the end of the first quarter; 13 - 0 at halftime; and 22 - 0 at the end of the third quarter. Nora Jones led St. Mary’s in scoring with 8 points. Kali Walker scored 6 points, Sarah McCorkle 6 points, Madison Stevens 4 points, and Lily Keepes 2 points. Also seeing playing time were Madeleine Mann, Isabella Jent, Ava Jent, Courtney Jones, Natalee Hedge, Ashlin Trail, and Brianna McCoy. Kessel and Ewing had 4 points each for the Lady Bullets.

In the “C” game, Cisne defeated St. Mary’s 16 – 6. Scoring for the Lady Rockets were Madeleine Mann, Isabella Jent, and Ashlin Trail with 2 points each. Also playing were Ava Jent, Courtney Jones, Natalee Hedge, and Brianna McCoy.

St. Mary’s will travel to New Hope Grade School (Fairfield) on Tuesday, October 16th to take on the Lady Panthers. There will be a C Game starting at 5:15pm and the 7th grade game will start at 6:00 pm, with the 8th grade game to follow.
