Voters in November will decide whether to approve a property tax increase that would be used to help pay for the $8 million pool. The Illinois Department of Public Health has effectively shut down the city pool from operation in 2025. Judge said the pumps at the pool are being removed and repurposed within the city. He said the pumps are the only equipment able to be salvaged from the facility.
