Mount Carmel woman arrested on DUI charge

On June 2, 2024, at 8:20 p.m. Gibson County Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a Blue 2012 Buick SUV after observing the vehicle driving left of center on South Main Street near Delaware Street in Princeton.  Upon stopping the vehicle on outer South Main Deputy Smith identified the driver as 35 year old Kayli Young of Mount Carmel.  While speaking with Ms. Young Deputy Smith detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver and began a roadside DUI investigation.  At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Smith placed Ms. Young into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. 
 
Assisting Deputy Smith in his investigation was Princeton Officer Jeremy Robb. 
 
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
