Traffic stop leads to arrest of Evansville man on DUI charge

On November 7, 2024, at 12:22 a.m. Gibson County Deputy Levi Sims conducted a traffic stop on a Blue 2020 Nissan Rogue for speeding on Interstate 69 near the 26 mile marker.  Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Sims detected clues that the driver 44 year old Adam Diekmann of Evansville was under the influence of an unknown intoxicant.  At that point Deputy Sims and Deputy Michael Bates began a roadside DUI investigation.  At the conclusion of their investigation they placed Mr. Diekmann into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.
