Evansville man arrested during traffic stop
On October 15, 2024, at 4 a.m. Gibson County Deputy Michael Bates conducted a traffic stop on a White 2023 Hyundai Tucson for speeding in the area of CR 550 East and CR 500 South. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Bates detected the odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle while speaking with the driver 24 year old KeShawn Bolton of Evansville. At that point Deputy Bates began a roadside investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation he placed Mr. Bolton into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Assisting Deputy Bates in his investigation was Deputy Levi Sims.
