The Mt. Carmel City Council is considering a proposal from Republic Services to extend their current contract with the city in exchange for a rate freeze.  At Monday’s city council meeting, Mayor Joe Judge laid out the details of Republic’s proposal….

The last time the trash pickup contract was opened for bids, only one other company submitted a proposal and that ended up being nearly double of the rate Republic bid. The council is considering the offer and will vote on it at their June 26th meeting.
