Kelli Storckman, Wabash County State's Attorney, reports that Joseph Scales, a 46-year-old Washington, IN man, was sentenced to the Illinois Department of Corrections by the Honorable Circuit Judge William C. Hudson in Wabash County Circuit Court.

 Joseph Scales was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class X Felony, on December 24, 2022 as a result of an investigation by the Mt. Carmel Police Department and the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force.  On May 2, 2023, Scales was sentenced to 20 years in the Department of Corrections, to be followed by 18 months of mandatory supervised release (parole).
