On 5/22/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Patricia L. Windle, age 42, of Mt. Carmel, for Retail Theft, following a complaint from Dollar General.  Upon arrival to the store, the arresting officer received information that the above defendant had stolen over $20 with of various merchandise without providing payment.  This information and Windle’s identity were confirmed utilizing store surveillance video footage.  Windle was located at a residence in the 400 block of N Walnut Street where she was taken into custody, along with a portion of the stolen items.  Windle was processed at the Wabash County Jail and later released on a Notice to Appear.
