On 4/26/23, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Madison A. Pennington, age 35, of Lawrenceville and Charles R. Brown, age 35, of Evansville, Indiana on two outstanding warrants for their arrest. Their arrests stemmed from an officer stopping a silver Nissan at 9th & Mulberry Street of which they were passengers. During the stop, the officer found that Pennington was wanted on a Richland County Warrant for Failure to Appear and that Brown was wanted out of Kentucky for a Parole Violation. Both individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail. The driver was released on a warning for expired registration. Both Brown and Pennington are being held pending extradition back to the issuing agency’s custody.
