On 04/26/23 the Wabash County Sheriff's Office was called to 8749 N 1750 Ln., Mt. Carmel reference an unwanted person destroying property. When deputies arrived, they found a male subject that was very agitated and intoxicated. The male was detained so the deputy could conduct an investigation into the incident. During the investigation the deputy heard a loud banging and realized the detained male was attempting to kick out the windows of his squad. The male was removed and eventually moved to a different patrol vehicle. During the switch the male bit a deputy in the hand and headbutted the other deputy. 42-year-old Jason C. List was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Aggravated Battery x's 2 to a police officer, and resisting or obstructing a peace officer. List is currently being held in the Wabash County jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
