It looks like issues with motorized bicycles is going to result in an ordinance being passed by the city council to regulate them. Over the past few months, police chief Mike McWilliams has requested those riding the motorized bicycles to do so in a safer way by obeying basic traffic laws. Since that hasn’t worked, McWilliams says it’s time to put something in writing… 

McWillliams said there continues to be numerous complaints about the 15 to 20 motorized bicycles he estimated are on city streets. A curfew may also be part of an ordinance prohibiting their use between midnight and 6am, the same that is in place for golf carts and UTV’s.
