The Mt. Carmel City Council has approved the dates for two upcoming events. The first is the St. Mary’s Rockets Foundation Mardi Gras 5K and kid’s fun run. It’ll be held on Saturday, February 25th with the fun run starting at 1:30 and the 5K to follow at 2pm. The second event is the Smokin’ For Garrett barbeque festival. It’ll be held on October 6th and 7th in uptown Mt. Carmel. Market Street will be closed at 5pm on October 5th to allow for set-up.
